Live College Football Streaming has arrived for 2012 live and online.
Bowling Green has a normal size of team turnover from last year’s squad and should have a real bid to advance at least within the Mac and for a postseason bowl bid if not the Title. Whereas smart fans seem to view this year as a likely rebuilding one, the new recruits may provide plenty of skill to maintain a high level of play. The Mac looks to be on a significant decline this year with respect to last year’s squads but as we have noticed many years before, the teams are significantly variant in reality than they seem before playing the games.
We can all feel the significantly anticipated & very competitive college football slate within the Mac, much has been bantered about Bowling Green and the team’s shot because of the number of changes in the team since the previous year’s version. Staunch insiders who like to watch Bowling Green Football Online have mentioned a significant divergence from year to year looks to be more dramatic than previously secondary to the changes in the NCAA rules and its consequence on players going into the pro rung. Most programs that have the top goal of winning the National Championship have significant continuation from the prior year but it has been shown in years past that teams can succeed and be in the BCS Championship without returning major players at significant leadership roles.
Most fans and
experts are having trouble putting their finger on how this slate will end up for Bowling Green. As in most years, it all seems to boil down to what everyone’s individual considerations are for this year’s version. Many fans only care if their team wins the game and don’t give a hoot if they defeat an inferior squad by a single point when they should had a larger margin of victory.
Some observers of the Mac may be looking at the type of play of the team in game which will without question have an effect in the overall opinion observers have of the squad. Why not recall that national care about not only the win but also the style and dominance of the game.
The simple way to begin approaching the upcoming season at Bowling Green is to begin from the top and analyze the coach & assistants. While many have a tendency to narrowly analyze the players & incoming players available for the new year, the keen eyes don’t ignore the top of the mountain and how properly schemed the crew is for this slate. Bowling Green seems to have a decent amount of faith in their coaches and will have confidence in the staff’s ability to come up with gameplan and position their advantages to be victorious in the one on one battles. Other teams in the Mac may not be very comfortable in their selves with respect to the coaching acumen, however the staff is just a piece of the entire puzzle to getting a win.
Moving on to areas of the Bowling Green program, the standard spot to start with is the guy that gets the football on 99% of the offensive snaps, the QB. Most signal callers in the country have evolved into multiple throwers that are nothing like anything like Qbs who played not that many years past. Having the change of the spread offenses and spead schemes that look to be the way of the future in NCAA and soon to be pro systems, these new signal callers require a variant set of skills vs. the prior ones to work effectively in game action. Bowling Green’s signal caller this year once more shows promise but can’t be the one that can carry the team to greater heights. To be able to easily control the offense, his {skills alone will not have the ability produce a deluge of scores when put against quality teams within the Mac and national slate. Some look at the quarterback as a true strength but remain unclear of his effectiveness right now & will wait up until the slate imparts to create any stronger analysis.
Having the other athletic spots on the offense including the Ends and wideout positions, there seems to be a lot of skill in the players that are still around however their full potential has not been viewed by the viewing public. The TE spot could be viewed as either a spot that is being phased out in its old form or one that has become a game changer because of the overall speed and size mismatches it can present. This old role in the college game and without a doubt Bowling Green has been removed from today’s offenses. Yes there {exist men wearing uniform numbers in the eighties manning this position on the Bowling Green squad but their positions are nothing like the TEs we recall in historical contexts. The ball catchers seem to be a weak area of this groupyear’s bunch and could be a group that may be a major factor to determine the # of victories for the schedule. Seeing that onlookers strongly see the flankers may be a strength of the program, some onlookers are not positive if they will be as much of a determining factor in the general output of Bowling Green.
In the college football ranks in general, the defenses count as less of an effect on the final score of games. This isn’t meant to decrease the strength of the defenses but the change in rules that allow offenses more chance to dictate the game more so than the Ds. Bowling Green’s D seems to fit this mold. The D Line and backer play looks to be the issues heading into the new year and may be the determining factor of whether Bowling Green can be in the upper echelon of the Mac when its all said and done.
{STs in the NCAA for the most part has been the one aspect that has kept the same to its previous type than all of the others because of the rule changes. The teams at Bowling Green rely a lot on freshman and lesser players who perform minor roles t/o the games. Kickers in the college game seem to be very aloof and only some provide the pure kicking skill to provide a significant affect. Bowling Green’s kickers appear to be ok but this may change in a split second with injury or other changes that cannot be handled such as o line play or snapping. Looking at the big picture, the Mac has had fair STs in the past however this squad is debatable.
This year’s running backs at Bowling Green right now have once again a fair # of deconditioning and to be honest backs in football will always be an injured players secondary to their constant run ins and physical impact. We see the incoming running backs to be vital in this year’s running back output as recent 1st year backs have been able to handle the job. Many college football teams have been using the backs as somewhat of a receiver position on most downs as opposed to the traditional ground and pound playbooks used in the past. The style of the rbs on the Bowling Green squad appears to fit in with the new age type of play having more fast muscle types versus to the bigger rushers of prior years. Bowling Green sees some monster backs coming in so you should keep an eye on the changes soon.
